The Outpatient Program (“OP”) is a 6-month primary substance abuse rehabilitation program that also treats secondary co-occurring mental health disorders and is supportive of MAT. The program caters to clients who meet ASAM criteria for an Outpatient level of care. Clients in OP are offered two group options, either Tuesday morning from 10:00 AM – 11:30 AM or Tuesday Evening from 5:30 PM – 7:00 PM and meet with their Primary Therapist weekly for individual session. Clients in this level of care may meet with Agency Psychiatrist depending on availability, may be offered referral for outside care, or may choose to maintain an established psychiatric relationship. Clients in OP are encouraged to attend regular 12-step meetings or other community-based peer support and work with a sponsor or mentor to support their recovery. If you are a woman who is struggling with substance abuse, then treatment is the best option. Residential treatment is often the first step, followed by outpatient treatment. An outpatient program after treatment helps solidify the new habits and skills learned in residential rehab and provides much needed support for the newly recovering woman. Other situations which may benefit from outpatient treatment are women in recovery who are struggling and may be at risk for relapse, or who have had a period of sobriety and have recently relapsed. A woman’s outpatient program can be helpful at getting or keeping you on track. A Quality Outpatient Program in Florida For Women Wayside House offers a women’s drug and alcohol outpatient program for women that varies in length depending on the needs of the individual. At the start of the program, each applicant is assessed to determine the best course of action. An individualized treatment plan is developed based on the woman’s unique strengths and weaknesses, and the plan is revisited every 30 days to monitor progress toward goals. Types Of Services Offered At Wayside House Outpatient Program Our women’s outpatient program is customized to each woman in order to provide the best possible recovery experience. Our approach is designed to give women the skills and confidence to succeed not just in recovery, but in all areas of life. Relapse prevention Improved family and interpersonal skills Increased problem-solving Coping skills Self-esteem Coping with co-occurring disorders Relapse prevention is a major focus of our outpatient program. Recovery isn’t always easy, and life after treatment can be full of challenges. At Wayside House, we understand this and have designed a program that helps women learn how to cope with these challenges. Women participating in our program can expect an emphasis on learning how to express themselves in healthy ways and developing the problem-solving skills needed to be productive members of society. Self-esteem is another major focus in our program. Active addiction robs women of both self-esteem and self-worth. A women’s outpatient program assures that women will have the opportunity and space to develop both of these, while growing into healthy, productive members of society. Co-occurring disorders can make recovering from drug and alcohol abuse particularly challenging. Treatment centers that only focus on the addiction aspect of recovery are leaving out an essential piece of the puzzle. Our outpatient program helps women who may be struggling with co-occurring issues such as eating disorders, depression, anxiety and trauma. Unless these issues are addressed, the necessary healing in order to fully recover, will not take place. Our women’s drug and alcohol outpatient program is based on total abstinence from mood-altering substances and upon the principles of Alcoholics Anonymous. What Makes Our Outpatient Program Different? Addiction is a deadly disease that impacts all areas of life. It robs people of their hopes and dreams, pride, and self-esteem. Women face many challenges in addiction and in recovery. Our mission is to help women in recovery reclaim their voices and gain the skills and confidence to pursue their hopes and dreams.
