Jill ReeceJill W. Reece, CAP, ICCS, LPC
Executive Director
Jill Reece came to Wayside House to serve as its executive director in 2004. She has more than 30 years experience working in the field of addiction as a therapist, clinical administrator and executive director. Her areas of expertise are in women’s issues, dual diagnosis, cocaine addiction, family therapy and eating disorders treatment. “I believe that Wayside House must instill the hope of recovery until the women of Wayside discover it for themselves,” she says. “I hope they stay with us until that miracle happens.”

Deb HarmonDeb Harmon, MS, CAP
Clinical Coordinator of Residential Services
With professional experience in the field of chemical dependency, Deb Harmon has a true understanding of the Wayside House mission. She facilitates a variety of group meetings, which help clients deal with the many facets and phases of recovery. “Being a part of this treatment facility is both wonderful and enriching,” says Deb. “I have seen how well the Wayside House program works because it focuses on the specific needs of women who are struggling with addiction.”

Dana Polan, LMHC
Clinical Coordinator of Outpatient Services
Coming to Wayside House in 2007, as a registered intern, Dana Polan is today licensed as a mental health counselor. Her client-centered approach helps Dana create a safe environment where healing can take place. Dana is trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), and has a passion for helping women work through past trauma. “Assisting women gain their sobriety and watching them transform has been life-changing for me,” says Dana. “My clients are constantly teaching me, and for that I am forever grateful.”

Robyn BermanRobyn Berman, MA, M.Ed., LMHC, CAP
Family Coordinator
As one of Wayside House’s residential therapists, Robyn Berman addresses such core issues as self-esteem and eating disorders. Through her weekly psycho-educational family group and multi-family group, she educates and supports those hardest hit by the impact of addiction. “Wayside House gives families hope and encourages them to seek the help they so deserve,” says Robyn. “We are two sides of the same coin – it is not us and them. We all need healing.”

Chris NorrholmChris Norrholm, RHIT, CBHT
Admissions Coordinator
The first person most new patients meet when they walk through Wayside House’s front door, Chris Norrholm is a vital part of each woman’s recovery journey. Although she humbly refers to herself as the “clerk” of Wayside House, Chris is an invaluable team member whose many responsibilities include orientation, medical records management and discharge planning. “I care deeply about Wayside House and its people and alumnae, and feel privileged to help wherever I can,” she says.

Michele AxtonMichele Axton
Coordinator of Residential Services
Deeply committed to reaching out to women with substance abuse problems, Michele Axton helps ensure that Wayside House is a welcoming home for those who seek recovery. She oversees the residential staff and makes sure the grounds and inside living quarters meet the highest standards. “The residential services department provides nutritious meals for our residents,“ says Michele, “but we also help nourish the clients spiritually. I try to bring hope through the power of example.”

Linda Holtz, M.Ed.
Development Coordinator
Raising funds for Wayside House through planning benefit events, writing grant proposals and by launching the annual Angel Fund and Brick campaigns, Linda Holtz is an experienced writer and editor with a career-long commitment to the non-profit sector. “I feel privileged to be part of such a special and caring mission and hope that the Development Department will bring Wayside House new supporters and even greater visibility in the community.”
